Switching your mortgage deal online

If your existing mortgage deal with The Cambridge is coming to an end, you can switch to your next deal online.

Switching your mortgage online is quick and simple and can be done at a time that is convenient for you. You can switch online to a new deal with us without paying an early repayment charge up to 90 days before your existing deal ends if:

  • You’re happy to choose your next mortgage deal, without receiving advice
  • You aren’t looking to make any other changes to your mortgage, such as borrowing more money or changing the mortgage term
  • You’ve received a letter or email from us, reminding you that your existing mortgage deal is coming to an end, with details of how to switch online. Not all mortgage accounts are eligible to switch online, please see below for those that aren't eligible

Please note: By choosing to switch online yourself, you won’t get the same Financial Conduct Authority protection as our advised service.

How to switch your mortgage deal online

Once you've received your letter or email, you that you can apply to switch to a new mortgage deal. All our switches take effect on the 1st of the month.

1. To get started and to confirm you’re eligible to switch online, you’ll just need to enter your:

  • mortgage account number

  • date of birth
  • mortgage property post code

2. Once you’ve read and confirmed you’re happy with the Execution Only Declaration, select your next deal from the list of available mortgage deals.

3. If there are fees to pay on your chosen mortgage deal, you can either add these to the loan by ticking the box on the ‘Fee Information’ page or pay them via debit card when you submit your switch application.
